TRANSITION DISCUSSIONS

A Transiton Discussion
The Transition Discussions are monthly public discussions organized by the Transition Plymouth Education group. They are all free and everyone is welcome!
Every discussion explores themes related to Transition, including polemic ones - that can be from climate change to community issues, social & environmental justice, or politics! The idea is to open a public dialogue in our city, so people can reflect and make informed choices about the transformation we are so urgently needing.
The Transition Discussions are held on the THIRD THURSDAY of every month, excluding Summer and December. Every discussion has a moderator from Transition Education group and a very brief device to trigger the exchange of opinions e.g. a newspaper article, a question, a short video, etc. We make sure that everyone attending has their voice being heard.
So far we have discussed themes such as The End of Cheap Oil, Veganism & Environment, Local Economy, Eco-feminism, Corporate Capitalism & Transition, Plymouth Airport and more. See our past discussions.
If you have any suggestion about a theme, please do let us know through our get in touch page.
At the same time, if you have been in one of our discussions, we will be very happy to receive your feedback, so we can make of this a more representative space.
NEXT TRANSITION DISCUSSION - first one of 2015!
Our next discussion will be on Thursday 15th January, about "Radical Land Reform - who owns this Earth?"
Below is the poster. Hope to see you there and please spread the message!
